The Piso family were a royal family that descended from the father of
Alexander the Great, Philip of Macedon, and included all of the Ptolemy
pharaohs of Egypt including Cleopatra. As royals they depended on slaves,
and the Jews in 60 CE were attracting many slaves to their religion. The
reason was that rabbi Hillel was teaching that slavery was immoral. So the
Pisos created a religion for the slaves that promised them eternal life and
other benefits not promised by Judaism. Christianity was a successful
invention.
