False start, another missed mark
And all the moments they collapse into calamity
Loose parts are never, put back together
They're just piled up under dust and left for rainy days
Why won't you come to my rescue like before
Now is when I could use you even more
Small steps and stumbles
Lost by the numbers
Were the little things that should have stayed my own
Spared were the many that you couldn't carry
But I skipped across the surface like a flattened stone
The thin slivers under my skin so deep and out of reach
They're yours and not a souvenir to keep
