Indra

Artefact
Infinite jewels reflecting over and over
Caught in a web, of the hearts
I longed to hold in my own,
To overcome the solitude,
The only thing i've ever known

The web i weave is not beautiful
I thought it would be, in false delusion
But knew that it could never hold
The hearts i half took, and guarded with nothing
But the knowledge I never meant to hurt or maim

So the web hung shyly in skies of silver
Reflecting the ignorance and innocence
Held in my own heart
My naive, battered heart
On pedestal
Or podium
Or hung on museum wall
Drawn and quartered

Drawn and quartered

As web cascades
Intertwines
Combusts
Implodes
Into a super nova
Of the hearts that i once knew
I still possess them
They lay dormant, not forgotten

Like Volcanic daydream
Haze of ecstasy, lost in an instant

Infinite jewels reflecting over and over
Caught in a web, of the hearts
I longed to hold in my own,
To overcome the solitude,
The only thing i've ever known
