We moved into this house called love
Right at the crack of dawn
And cheered to praise the Lord above
“Oh, Father, we’re reborn”
“This is our home and here’s my plan”
She said to me outright
“Let’s never leave this house again”
And locked all doors and lights
But suddenly I felt the need
To run and leave our space
It had become a cage indeed
There was no beauty’s trace
But when she said “You’re free to go”
I felt I want to stay
I saw again our house’s glow
And doubts they slipped away
And then one day this house called love
Right at the crack of gloom
It was decayed and from above
The snow fell on our ruin
