God You know that we are nothing
without Your presence
in this place
And there are those of us
who’ve given lives
Just to see the anointing
of Your grace
Though we’re not ready
for Your glory
Still we desire more than all
To be molded into vessels
Who can answer to the call
Of a people who have nothing
to gain
But the glory of Your holy name
To be manifest in Your power
across the earth
To a lost
and wandering inheritance
Of our God our holy God
As Your eyes move forth
across the earth
Let them gaze upon our hearts
Lord pierce our hardened souls
with Your mercy
Destroy the wickedness
that we might be a part
Of a people You call holy
Whom You entrust
with Your very thoughts
Write Your name
across our foreheads
With the holiness we have sought
O that You would rend the Heavens
And come down in the power
of Your majesty
That You would stretch forth
Your compassion
That the deaf would hear
the lame would walk
And the blind would see
Lord cause us to tremble
at the very thought
Of Your mercy
Your never-ending mercy
For You’re our holy God
whom we live to please
O that You would rend the Heavens
rend the Heavens
O that You would rend the Heavens
And come down in the power
of Your majesty
That You would stretch forth
Your compassion
That the deaf would hear
the lame would walk
And the blind would see
O that You would rend the Heavens
rend the Heavens
O that You would rend the Heavens
And come down in the power
of Your majesty
That You would stretch forth
Your compassion
That the deaf would hear
the lame would walk
And the blind would see
O that You would rend the Heavens
rend the Heavens
And come down in the power
For You’re our holy God
whom we live to please
